Your New Favourite Jumper Knitting Pattern

Ready to step up to knitting your own super chunky knit jumper? This all-in-one top down jumper knitting pattern is exactly what you need to get started.

This simple jumper knitting pattern is a great way to gain confidence with knitting in the round on circular needles and allows you to practise your increase stitches (M1L and M1R) with the raglan style sleeves.

We do recommend this as a perfect pattern for established knitters, but if you’re a confident beginner knitter, then there’s no reason why you can’t give this cosy super chunky jumper a go. The design does require you to know how to:

  • knit in the round
  • purl (for rib stitch)
  • M1L and M1R
  • hold stitches
  • pick up and knit stitches
  • k2tog

but, we have a series of knitting video tutorials over on our youtube channel so you can watch Sophie talk you through a lot of the stitches and techniques involved.
